You know how there are some people who, when you meet them, you just instantly know they are “your” kind of people? When I moved to Northern VA in 2007, hugely pregnant with the lanky first grader who is currently enjoying yet another Snow Day, I was welcomed to the neighborhood by my neighbors, the Johns family. There are people in this world who are just… shiny. The light inside them is so bright it just spills out everywhere. They can’t help it. This family is like that. Becky was like that. When she died in an accident, the world was a little dimmer. Her shiny, shiny family chose to bring that light back into the world by starting Becky’s Hugs.
