Put the YOU in community and give back this season

Here is your guide to holiday giving programs in and around Northern VA  this year. I’ve included service projects as well as donation drives. Our local charities need our support all year long, but it is no secret that they get the bulk of it at this time of year, when their efforts to support the most vulnerable members of our community are close to our hearts and always on our mind. If you are looking for ways to “help Santa” as we say at my house this time of year, any of the excellent community organizations on this list would love to recruit you.

Review: Disney on Ice Presents Frozen!

Disney on Ice presents Frozen surprised me by being even MORE visually spectacular than other Disney on Ice presentations I’ve seen. From the incredibly detailed costumes to the incredibly vibrant color palette, the show was eye candy from start to finish. The iconic costumes were, obviously, interpreted for freedom of movement, so if you have an active princess on your hands, you might want to fuel her imagination with one of these versions, if you can.
