Tales From the Brothers Grimm REVIEW

Brothers-Grimm-FlierCreative Cauldron’s Learning Theater production of Tales from the Brothers Grimm is targeted at 5-6 year olds.

The play was neat. They did about 8 or so Grimms Tales. There was some of the darker stuff (the witch wanting to eat Hansel and Gretel and the mother goat cutting the wolf’s stomach open to rescue her kids) but it didn’t seem to bother either of the five year olds who went with me. The stories were performed by about 25 kids who did a long term workshop with the adults but the quality was really, really good. They had a song between the stories which is what they meant by music.

My daughter is already begging to go back to see their Christmas play…Christmas Cabin of Carnaween, which is a Irish folk tale and might be a nice alternative to the nutcracker and Christmas Carol that most people hit over the holidays. And she’s making noises that she’d like to try this whole acting thing. LOL.
The show is running:
